Technical Product Manager

Job Description

Wells Fargo Wholesale Banking Technology, is seeking an experienced Technical Product Leader with responsibilities for strategy, execution and production quality of a recently acquired Wells Fargo Equipment Finance Online Banking application. The selected candidate will play a critical role in defining, and enhancing the online banking applications utilized by end customers of the Equipment Financing business.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in application development and must be comfortable in communicating directly with business customers and other IT application leaders. The resource will have responsibility for the enhancement and stability of the online portal including ensuring all deployments follow development standards, and meet business requirements. In fulfilling these requirements, the individual should expect to work closely with the WFEF functional teams, development teams, and production support teams.

This role requires a proven technical skills set that has been demonstrated in the development of business critical java applications and their integration into enterprise systems. Must provide individual and project support for complex projects or applications, adhere to project timelines and technical deliverables within different client environments.

Other duties will include:

  • Provides technical assistance in identifying and evaluating system impacts during conception and elaboration phases.
  • Partner with business users to gather and validate requirements and develop detailed specifications and designs for new architecture.
  • Interact with internal and external technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system design, potential issues, and, impact analysis for each project
  • Define detailed functional specifications required to satisfy business requirements for programs, projects, and releases
  • Produce architecture and design documents to effectively communicate the solution to the business and provide direction for the development teams
  • Interact with internal and external technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • 5 + years of Core Java experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of J2EE
  • 2+ years of PL/SQL experience
