Credit and Retail Services Technology group is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Tech Development Senior Manager 1 position. Candidates will have the opportunity to be the leader of the group within CRS Technology responsible for developing the Credit Card Account Management application. Currently this application runs on modern technologies.
This role is suited for a self-starter that can jump in and understand the critical legacy application and create a roadmap to modernize the application. They will also be responsible for managing a team of 20 resources directly and will matrix mange the work of 50 resources in a peer EIT organization.
As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of management experience in technology
  • 4+ years of technology delivery and relationship management experience with small and large business units in a large corporate environment
  • 2+ years of credit card industry experience

Desired Qualifications
  • Management experience including large/multiple application development efforts within a small-to-medium size line of business
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to manage large, multitier technology efforts, driving initiatives to resolution
  • Ability to identify business needs and deliver solutions in close partnership with line of business and technology
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Experience developing and executing business vision, strategies, and goals.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships for products or services including: contract negotiation, oversight, and SLA management

Other Desired Qualifications
Business Leadership
  • Strong financial management experience managing multiple accounting units concurrently including base and incremental budgets, project budgets, and cost allocation models.
  • Experience in driving organizational transformation to meet evolving business climate and demands.
Thought Leadership
  • Integration with enterprise customer experience journey is expected, hence the person in this role is expected to be a technology thought leader

Job Expectations
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
