Department Overview
Payments, Virtual Solutions, Innovation (PVSI) group aims to provide technology across Payments, Digital channels, Innovation Solutions (ACH, Wire, Credit Card, Debit Card, ATM, Branch, Contact Center, Commercial Card, Lockbox, Sweeps, Cash Flow, Deposits, Push2Card) in the form of Services, Solutions, Software, Products and helps PVSI CIO group to move forward in transforming the technology organization. This includes collaborating with Risk Management, Enterprise Architecture, Strategy, Shared Service and Infrastructure teams.

About Role:
This position is for an experienced technical professional to provide system architecture support within Technology and Operations Group (TOG) for the DCT (Digital Channels Technology) Architecture department. It includes defining the architectural approach and design of complex IT systems, including providing in-depth technical consultation and detailed system design which aligns with enterprise technology strategies and standards as well as with our business strategy and requirements.

Responsibilities

Project Architecture
•Responsible for working on medium to high architectural impact projects Work with business teams (LOB and WF Enterprise) to analyze project requirements as a foundation for architecture designs
•Produce project architecture designs encapsulated in Systems Architecture Specification documents using industry standard modeling languages and practices.
•Manage designs for multiple projects concurrently throughout the project lifecycle

Platform Analysis
•Perform software platform design analysis
•Produce platform analysis reports for senior management review

New Platform Design/Development
•Develop proof of concept prototypes to evaluate the products and technologies that support Internet Service Group business objective

Reference Architecture
•Assist in the production and maintenance of Reference Architecture models for ISG online platforms

Technology Strategy
•Participate in the definition of Digital future technology architecture and strategy
•Conduct technology studies to support the development of integrated, cost-effective system and software architecture to support Wells Fargo Enterprise and LOB goals
•Perform in depth consultation to senior management to ensure Digital online applications adhere to established Wells Fargo standards, policies, methodologies and Industry best practice

Market Skills and Certifications

Essential Qualifications:
•15+ years of experience and having hands on experience as an Architect and working experience of technologies like Java, JEE, Design Patterns, Spring, HTTP, REST, Websocket, Micro-services, Cloud, NoSQL, Real-time data processing, Storm, Spark, Kafka

•Should have prior experience in design and architecture of complex software systems.

•Strong Object Oriented skills, including an understanding of common object and web application design patterns

•Demonstrated ability to influence across all organizational levels on technical or business solutions

•Demonstrated wide application of technical principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications or a component family.

•Demonstrated ability to present designs and specifications to peers, project teams, and various levels of management, including ability to lead/facilitate discussions across multiple technical organizations and drive open issues / design to resolution.

•Demonstrated experience with modern software application frameworks

•Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision and limited direction, and in collaborative team environments.

•Experience in designing and developing modern web applications (e.g. Java, HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS3, etc.) and mobile technologies (e.g. iOS, Android, etc.)

•Some knowledge of other technical domains (e.g. Database, Infrastructure, Security, Network, etc.)

•Demonstrated advanced experience using UML for business and technology modeling

•Understanding of Retail Payment domain. Experience in Retail Payments processing.

•Good understanding of software development life cycles and development practices.

•A strong ability to multi-task and manage varying priorities and projects.

•The demonstrated ability to apply effective organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

•Excellent written and oral communication skills.

•Some knowledge of infrastructure architecture and the deployment of internet applications on application servers

•Strong OO design skills with good basic working knowledge of software patterns

•Strong requirements and system analysis skills

•Demonstrated leadership, communication, and relationship skills. This includes experience presenting, collaborating, and building trusted relationships with management and technical peers to influence direction.

•Broad understanding of IT development, engineering, support and management processes, capabilities, and requirements.

•Demonstrated ability to manage workload, project expectations, internal department efforts, and administrative processes with minimal oversight.

•Demonstrated ability to create tactical and strategic technology assessments with regards to scope of requirements.

•Experience with modeling tools, specifically Enterprise Architecture (EA).

•BS degree in computer science or related area of focus
