Sr Business Analyst - Business Systems Consultant 5

Job Description

The Corporate Security Technology group within Corporate Properties o has an opportunity for a senior level Business Analyst, supporting physical access security and case management. This role is responsible for understanding and assessing the impact of business changes and needs; analyzing and capturing requirements; communicating requirements to relevant stakeholders; and monitoring the build of the solution to ensure it meets the requirements. They will interact with product owners, key business stakeholders, vendors, and internal integration and development teams to ensure proposed processes and systems meet desired needs.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Document and maintain business and functional requirements
  • Elicit requirements from end users to solve a business problem and identify the desired results
  • Communicate with product owner and stakeholders using data process models to clarify and validate requirements
  • Oversee implementation, coordinating UAT and observing initiation of the system to validate performance and ensure all business requirements and their integrity are maintained.
  • Address issues and questions related to intended functionality of the system, as well as support the business in implementing the required changes to make effective use of the new system
  • Support Product Owner with respect to project status and roadmap creation and maintenance
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings, perform system demonstrations, and document user feedback to ensure rapid adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Participate in Stress, Performance and Load testing
  • Act as a liaison between the business, development, vendor, and infrastructure teams
  • Create various types of project documentation including user requirements, Functional Specification Documents (FSD), Business Requirements Documents (BRD), infrastructure diagrams and detailed plans

The preferred work location is NC-Charlotte. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to these locations with limited to no relocation assistance. Remote work may be an option for those candidates that have Wells Fargo experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both
  • 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • 1+ year of experience writing Business Requirements Documents
  • 1+ year of technical documentation and publication experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: used in waterfall or Agile development projects
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, with advanced skills in Excel
  • Knowledge and understanding of creation of high level designs, low level designs, process flows
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Knowledge and understanding of creation of Screen Mockups using SnagIt or equivalent screen capturing software
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: use case and system specifications documentation development
  • Knowledge and understanding of defect tracking tool
  • Microsoft Visio experience
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with business partners, with the proven ability to view the "big picture" as it relates to the business goals and be able to identify other groups needed to realize a solution
  • 2+ years pf experience mentoring junior staff members as needed
  • 2+ years leading UAT and negotiating/resolving related issues
  • 2+ years of experience creating detailed design specifications (must be able to translate business and functional requirements into acceptable technical specifications)
  • 2+ years of experience working with packaged software solutions and software vendors
  • Technical background (past software development, database administration, and product management skills
  • Wells Fargo Business Analysis experience
  • Data manipulation and analysis using Excel
  • Understanding how decisions made will impact projects, lines of business, and alignment with core business strategic direction
  • Proven creativity and innovation when crafting solutions
  • Ability to understand stakeholders (motives, agendas, interests) to be sensitive to their needs
  • Ability to work side-by-side with other team members regardless of position or responsibility
  • Ability to adjust to rapid business changes and be able to handle project pressures
  • Ability to spot potential issues before they become significant
  • Ability to be proactive
  • Strong work ethic, can-do attitude
