About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant to join the Credit Risk Internal Data COE of Corporate Risk. This team is responsible for managing and overseeing consumer-wide data infrastructure of the Wells Fargo internal data and facilitating cross-consumer capabilities in managing credit risk via models, strategies and analytics. The team partners with technology and end users to create and drive requirements to evolve data insights based on Wells Fargo's wealth of internal information about our existing customers. This role will collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, and technology partners to understand technical requirements to support business acceptance testing.

In this role, you will:
  • Participate in moderate to complex analysis related to internal data to understand requirements to ensure accuracy in data aggregation and transformation installations.
  • Perform complex data analysis to investigate data anomaly and data research inquiry from technology partners and users.
  • Become familiar with internal data and data sources companywide to support Consumer Credit Data internal data applications to understand the data strategy to ensure project implementation quality and control.
  • Partner with various partners including technology to understand business needs to support complex project implementations and supporting project management framework.
  • Support data initiatives including proof of concept projects and data definition development.
  • Become familiar with Enterprise Data Governance Policy to support Consumer Credit Data internal data applications to enhance and maintain the management of data assets.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of SAS/SQL/Python programming experience
  • Experience with using Jira and Agile working environment
  • Intermediate experience in data analysis including but not limited to data preparation, data exploration, data quality assessment, data interpretation as well as data trending and variance analysis.
  • Good understanding in consumer data and data management framework including but not limited to data governance, data risk management and data quality control
  • Good understanding and experience in developing testing discipline including test case planning, test plan development, execution and documentation
  • Consumer and/or other equivalent Credit Risk experience or Fraud risk management
  • Experience in working and adapting in multiple environments: Teradata, MS SQL, and/or Linux/Unix
  • Strong analytical skills with active and self-motivated learning to develop perspective
  • Able to get a good understanding of problems and the ability to connect the dots between data and systems forming a picture of what the issue is and to develop and execute solutions
  • Ability to listen well and collaborate well with internal partners to align priority and drive for result with clear business objective, effective problem-solving skills and strong initiative.
  • Ability to collaborate with SME and work with data from disparate data sources
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong synthesizing capability
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet commitment and work consistently under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment with quality control.
  • Flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important, while being able to deliver projects on time in a fast paced environment
  • Strong execution capability with high attention to detail and accuracy
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work at one of the approved locations in the job posting

  • Willingness to comply with our hybrid work model; working from a Wells Fargo facility at least three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week.
