Senior Commercial Lines Account Representative

Job Description

The Senior Commercial Lines Account Representative will be responsible for account support and project management with oversight of moderately to highly complex commercial property and casualty accounts. Will perform the tasks assigned under client service agreements and for the tasks required day-to-day and throughout the renewal process. Will assist in marketing of accounts and with new business opportunities. Will also be responsible for processing endorsements and other transactional tasks. May be asked to help train and assist less experience staff members.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of insurance experience
  • 2+ years of commercial insurance experience

  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of property and casualty insurance
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk management
  • Experience reviewing insurance policy applications for completeness, accuracy, and acceptability of risk
  • Knowledge and understanding of vendor contracts review
  • Risk management experience
  • Real estate experience
  • Client service focus with the ability to listen to customer needs and recommend solutions
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Property & Casualty Insurance Licenses
  • Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
  • An active Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing and servicing of commercial accounts
  • Understanding of commercial rating concepts

Job Expectations

  • Designated insurance license requirements must be completed within 180 days of hire date. Compliance with state law requirements is required.
