POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant position is responsible for providing technical expertise regarding accounting procedures and regulatory requirements communicating practices and procedures for proper financial control, SEC and regulatory reporting, GAAP accounting policies and standards, maintaining ledger accounts and reconciliation including monthly general ledger entries, cash management, calculating interest and dividend revenue, financial reporting, tax reporting, and fulfilling Wells Fargo reporting requirements.

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the following: financial planning, partnership accounting, and tax accounting

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 7+ years of accounting experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting
  • CPA-Certified Public Accountant designation
  • MBA preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Significant knowledge of and experience in application of GAAP and accrual basis accounting, SEC reporting, tax, audit and other related compliance and regulatory topics
  • Strong financial reporting and analysis skills
  • Experience with cash management processes and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in investment performance analysis is a plus
  • Experience in partnership accounting and tax regulations a plus
