The Application System Engineer will be responsible for leading the development and level 3 support of business process automation built in BluePrism 6.3 and UIPath 2019.x
The System engineer will be part of onshore development team in a customer {internally} facing role, to drive delivery of new automated processes as well as managing the changes required for the automations for our Wells Fargo Technology team. The system engineer will ensure consistency and synchronization across various builds, delivered codes and updated information on all the changes in progress.
The ideal candidate will need at least 8+ years of experience in delivery functions, 2+ years of experience in robotic automation delivery. The ideal candidate will also work on performance optimization, robotic process automation and maintenance by following operational procedures for maintaining technology as required.
Position requires:
• The ability to methodically solve business and technical problems using innovative and well-planned approaches with well documented, supportable and extensible development practices
• The ability to conceptualize automated solutions and understand the prescribed design architecture
• The aptitude to contribute to the evolution of methodologies and procedures in a controlled manner to continually improve a rapid and repeatable delivery channel
• Good verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience as well as produce clear and concise written documentation
• An understanding of, and a willingness to adhere to, formal change control procedures and disciplines.
• Strong desire for exploring, evaluating and understanding new technologies.
• An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error
• Work with developers and application owners to implement the change & document it
• Troubleshooting and providing solutions for production issues raise by either end user / automated monitors
• Willingness to train / learn and grow quickly in a rapidly changing group
Responsibilities:
• Design solutions utilizing RPA best practices and maintain technical responsibility for project delivery
• Drive the strategic and tactical roll-out of the solution to enterprise customers by creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios
• Document configuration best practices, create and maintain solution documentation
• Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.
• Ability to understand the business process and create process flow diagrams
• Self-starter, ability to proactively push for clarity where ambiguity resides, such as proactively working with the business analyst team on technical and data input requirements
• Ability to understand the bigger picture from an overall integration architecture perspective
• Good understanding of Process Design documents, technical design documents within the automation space

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 3+ years of DevOps experience
  • 9+ years of information technology experience
  • 1+ years of Blue Prism Rapid Process Automation (RPA) development experience
  • 5 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
  • 3 + years of automation or regression testing experience
  • 5 + years of experience with System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • 5+ years of information technology design experience including systems, applications or architecture
  • 5+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise wide information technology solutions


Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Planning and Designing Production and Disaster Recovery network solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and disaster recovery procedures/solutions
  • Ability to analyze metrics and articulate data trends both visually and verbally
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
  • Knowledge and understanding of automation and engineering release development
  • Knowledge and understanding of network automation or scripting testing techniques and solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: automation and data automation
  • IT Infrastructure Library Certification (ITIL)
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Strong technical expertise in BluePrism, UI Path.
  • Very good understanding of new emerging technologies in automation area.
  • Understanding of the various technologies in AI and market trends.
  • Knowledge of leading Automation Framework/Tools in current market.
  • Demonstrate the flexibility to work amongst diverse corporate environments, technical and non-technical audiences across the organization.
  • Strong desire for exploring, evaluating and understanding new technologies.
  • The ability to conceptualize automated solutions and understand the prescribed design architecture.
  • Ability to lead build-out of an Automation platform that supports enterprise automation requirements via an eco-system of tools.
  • Ability to lead large business process automation efforts leveraging state of the art automation solutions.
  • The ideal candidate is someone that has a business and/or technology consulting experience.


Job Expectations
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
