Market Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly and quarterly portfolio reviews, various management, Line of Businesses and Regional reporting
  • Utilize various tools/systems to create efficiency, consistency, process excellence, data flow and functionality (Microsoft Office, Business Objects, SAS/Qlikview)
  • On-going monitoring of key metrics; ensuring data quality and accuracy
  • Develop a thorough understanding of portfolios and risk reporting processes, delinquency, non-earnings, losses, reserves, to provide portfolio transparency and meaningful analysis
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to drive simplification across the business and mitigate operational risk
  • Improve reporting processes by creating touchless capabilities (Macros, VBA Code)
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with functional stakeholders

Market Skills and Certifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years Risk experience in the Financial Services Industry
  • Experience in data analysis/reporting or portfolio management roles
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • Strong understanding of risk policy and processes
  • Results focused and self-directed; ability to manage and navigate large data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and cross functional teams
  • Flexible and responsive with ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority

Preferred skills

  • SAS programming experience, VBA/Macro Programming
