Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.
The Wholesale Process Engineering & Robotic Automation(WPE & RA)
team partners with each Wholesale line of business to identify and design sustainable, efficient and effective business process opportunities that drive us towards a One Wholesale environment.The team also works with Line of Businesses to identify and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) opportunities scaling them across Wholesale. We do this through a close partnership with the Enterprise Process Engineering team and other divisional Process Engineering groups to define best practices and developing appropriate measurement and management systems, dashboards, and other business-facing tools.
The WPE & RA team is searching for a Process Engineering Manager to play a key role on the Business process definition team to support the Wholesale Banking Group. We are seeking an experienced professional to join us to help support Business Process Management Capability. This position will report under WPE & RA organization and partner with Enterprise Process Engineering to support iGrafx onboarding and ongoing maintenance for the lines of business under Wholesale. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Organize, lead, facilitate, and drive a team process engineers in support of business process activities
  • Manage process engineering initiatives including; process definition, process improvement, change implementation, customer analysis and resource allocation
  • Provides overall direction for establishing and identifying design/redesign requirements, priorities, and deadlines for assigned initiatives
  • Ensures effective integration of initiatives with the financial, technological, and process systems used or planned by the business supported. Partners with senior managers to allocate and coordinate resources and determine appropriate staff levels to support engineering initiatives
  • Develops and delivers effective written and verbal communications
  • Influences peers and senior leaders to overcome conflicts, remove cultural barriers, overcome silo focus, identify alternatives, and establish prioritization
  • Coach teams in optimizing use of BPM process and tools
The successful candidate will:
  • Become a process definition expert for a specific line of business in Wholesale
  • Local custodian of Process assets for a specific line of business
  • Provide alignment of initiatives to Enterprise program
  • Support execution of process definition delivery process
  • WF Enterprise Process Engineering Advanced learning level or LEAN/Six Sigma Black belt must be documented as completed within 1 year of job start date
  • Ability to travel 10 % of time

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: process engineering, military (supply chain, analytics and/or engineering); or LEAN/Six Sigma Black belt and 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: process engineering, military (supply chain, analytics or engineering)

Desired Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, or physics
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) software such as iGrafx
  • Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Analysis software such as Minitab
  • Facilitation skills such as Helix
  • Change Management skills such as Prosci/ADKAR
  • Knowledge and understanding of Rapid Process Automation software such as Blue Prism
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent with major in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or similar discipline
  • Knowledge and understanding of statistical analysis software, such as Minitab; Rapid process automation such as Blue Prism
  • Demonstrated experience with BPM tools such as like iGrafx, ARIS, Mega, IBM Blueworks, Pega etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and object-oriented modeling
  • Prior financial industry experience; preferably in Business Process Architecture
  • Experience in doing Process Decomposition and/or creating process taxonomies for financial organization
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-skill level engineering team focused on process definition and improvement
  • Ability to lead, present, and obtain buy-in from large stakeholder groups spanning staff team members through senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex engineering concepts and approaches into clear, concise, and simple directives and instruction for team members, business partners, and executive leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate effectively in either a face-to-face or virtual environment
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and lead through others on process improvement methodologies with emphasis on Lean/six sigma principles
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and adjusting activities effectively
