Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. The Process Engineer for Business Process Definition (BPD) is an addition to our growing team. It is under the Wholesale Business Process Management (BPM) organization, and will report to the Business Process Definition Process Engineer Manager. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with definition and documentation of processes across Wholesale Banking.
• Provide advanced statistical analysis for business leaders, project teams, and managers as required. In addition, provide basic and advanced measurement approaches and mechanisms to ensure we are managing the process and producing the designed results
• Provides assistance in the development and advancement of our common enterprise Operational and Process Excellence framework, methods, techniques, tools, training, and language. Including the development of new process improvement techniques and services
• Drives business awareness of our common enterprise operational and process excellence methods, techniques, tools, etc
• Provides consultation on the use of reengineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality
• Works with Project Manager(s) and Sponsors to ensure Six Sigma/LEAN activities, deliverables, and tools are integrated in the project plan when appropriate
• Collaborate and partner with other enterprise programs or initiatives to help advance the goals of those efforts while advancing the culture of operational excellence
• Provide coaching and mentoring to project teams and LOB management in Six Sigma, LEAN, Continuous Improvement process, tools, and techniques
• Develops and leads process design or improvement initiatives within fast-paced environments, utilizing process expertise for multiple business groups and providing analysis.
• Responsible for completing integrated process analyses, identifying procedural and control deficiencies and recommending solutions.
• Leverages business acumen effectively to impart relevant information to business partners and matrixed leadership.
• Responsible to work with Process Designer and Subject Matter Experts to model the sequenced set of activities needed for a scoped process according to business rules and required practices.
• Works with Enterprise and Group Librarian to capture additional metadata required for the process such as role and application information.
• Follows up with Front-Line Risk Consultant to get the risk-controls for approved process model.
Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.


Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: process engineering, military (supply chain, analytics and/or engineering); or LEAN/Six Sigma Green belt and 3+years of experience in one or a combination of the following: process engineering, military (supply chain, analytics and/or engineering)


Desired Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, or physics
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) software such as iGrafx
  • Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Analysis software such as Minitab
  • Facilitation skills such as Helix
  • Change Management skills such as Prosci/ADKAR
  • Knowledge and understanding of Rapid Process Automation software such as Blue Prism
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarization with Agile tools like JIRA, CA Rally

  • Wells Fargo Business Process Management Intermediate learning level or Wells Fargo Business Process Management Intermediate Knowledge Check and external LEAN/Six Sigma Green Belt within 1 year of job start date


Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

MN-Minneapolis: Min: $63,900 Mid: $90,000
IA-Des Moines: Min: $63,900 Mid: $90,000
NC-Charlotte: Min: $63,900 Mid: $90,000
