The Legal Department supports the vision and values of Wells Fargo by providing expert, creative, cost-effective, and timely advice and services to all Wells Fargo businesses and support functions. Paralegal will become a member of the Wealth, Abbot Downing and Trust Section within the Wealth and Investment Management Division of the Legal Department, providing legal support and guidance associated with personal trust and estate administration, fiduciary investment management activities, and general fiduciary law. Candidate should be able to work independently and demonstrate flexibility to handle a wide variety of tasks and should excel in time management. Specific responsibilities include research and assistance with matters involving trusts, estates, guardianships, custodians, fiduciary investment management activities, powers of attorney, and legal process. Paralegal will also be responsible for reviewing/updating related matrices, as well as other tasks as needed, including research of statutes and regulations.
- 1+ year of legal experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Strong research skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Ability to work effectively under direct supervision and follow specific guidelines
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Other Desired Qualifications
- Trust, estates or fiduciary experience a plus
- Paralegal certification may be required in some states
