Corporate Finance plans, tracks, analyzes and reports financial results, manages the company’s balance sheet, including funding, capital and investments; oversees internal real estate needs; drives acquisitions; is responsible for financial controls; and leads corporate strategy.

Corporate Finance identifies areas of financial risk and mitigates efforts appropriately. It works with capital markets to provide lowest possible costs of incremental funding, subject to capital and financial risk management constraints. It improves financial performance by analyzing business unit performance and recommending areas of improvement. The Retail Pricing Strategy and Compliance department within Mortgage Production Finance is seeking a dynamic individual with high initiative and strong leadership skills. The Operations Manager position is responsible for a team of people who will be responsible for determining why a closing needs to occur beyond the lock expiration. The person in this role will need to also manage relationships with Retail Sales, Retail Fulfillment, internal compliance and legal partners, as well as other Finance departments.

Duties may include, but no limited to:

  • Defining new MPP Goals for this team
  • Partnering with managers on a daily basis for best practices and dispute resolution
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and training materials to assure compliance with Retail Pricing Policy and to maximize efficiency
  • Audit team members’ work on an ongoing basis to ensure consistency
  • Interpreting, researching, and resolving loan process related issues and adhere to company policies
  • Researching, compiling, analyzing and reporting various operational data from multiple sources,
  • Assist ongoing production and workflow improvement efforts, manage small projects and/or small segments of larger projects

Manages small to medium units of nonexempt and/or exempt staff, typically through other managers or supervisors. Works independently with considerable latitude, managing various production initiatives and projects requiring coordination of resources, budgets and deadlines. Participates in review, recommendation and implementations of units’ operational systems and processes. Accountable for business unit financial performance.

  • This person will manage a team of people who will be focusing on managing risk and control for who/what caused a closing beyond lock expiration. They will focus on consistency and policy compliance in delay determination. They will be responsible for validating /auditing thousands of loans to ensure consistency. They will report and present results on a regular basis to senior management.
  • The Manager will be responsible for hiring and training full time and temporary employees. They will distribute work and ensure team members are reviewing loans within prescribed time limits to ensure productivity levels are met and borrower closings are not delayed.
  • The Manager will be responsible for Completing, Delivering, and Meeting all necessary deadlines as it pertains to MPP/ICP, Development Plans, Team Meetings, Q12 Survey and Action Plans, and Leadership workshops.
  • Communicates powerfully and prolifically between the business groups.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of operations experience
  • 2+ years of management experience in an operations environment

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Ability to identify and present processes/operational enhancements
  • Experience reviewing testing strategies and methodologies; evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls; and identifying issues resulting from internal and/or external compliance examinations
  • Leadership skills including; coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Solid critical thinking skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels
