Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.
The System and Organization Control (SOC) Governance and Oversight team is responsible for the planning and execution of Wells Fargo's SOC reporting across all lines of business.
This includes:

  • Maintaining company-wide SOC policy and procedures
  • Providing meaningful assessments of risks and controls supporting Wells Fargo's SOC reports
  • Monitoring new and emerging internal control guidance and requirements
  • Providing consultation and subject matter expertise for process and control related matters, including control deficiency analysis
  • Interfacing with key stakeholders across the company
  • Identify and develop training activities
  • Continuously seeking to improve the planning and execution of Wells Fargo's SOC reports
Specific responsibilities of the operational risk consultant includes:
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the SOC policy and procedures
  • Identify key risks and develop plans to address those risks
  • Coordinate across lines of business to ensure effective and efficient execution of the SOC reports
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders

Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Experience presenting technical concepts to senior leaders

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience evaluating control deficiencies and related remediation activities
  • Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, or Management Information Systems
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or related certification

Job Expectations
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
