Job Description

The Information Lifecycle Application (ILA) team continues to grow as Wells Fargo places increasing value on managing information and performing eDiscovery. We currently manage 9 applications, with more expected in the coming years. Our applications cover a wide area including Legal, Risk, eDiscovery, and Records Retention. We have technology ranging from .NET web front ends with SQL Server back ends, to vendor applications, to complex ETL systems.

Your responsibilities will include development of internal applications and processes primarily using the Microsoft development stack. This includes but is not limited to .Net, ASP.Net, MVC, WCF, TFS, SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS. This position will work closely with our business partners and business analysts from the ILA team to develop solutions that solve complex scenarios.

You will provide technical consultation and support in the development of computer applications and programs. Analyze business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign computer solutions. Develop original and/or complex code or provides coding guidance to less experienced staff. Lead and/or perform modeling, simulations and analysis efforts. Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Participate in overall systems testing. Lead the migration of applications to production. Develop new documentation and participate in the development of department technical procedures.

You will act as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems. Lead projects, including assignment of tasks, and provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff. Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and support updating and testing of the business continuity plan.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 3+ years of .net experience
  • 3+ years of C#.NET experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 2+ years of JavaScript development experience
  • 2+ years of web applications experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 3+ years of ASP.Net experience
  • 3+ years of MS AJAX experience
  • 3+ years of XML (Extensible Markup Language) experience
  • 3+ years of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Framework experience
  • 3+ years of stored procedures development experience
  • 3+ years of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of workflow based technology platform
  • Knowledge and understanding of records management
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management and implementation in an IT applications systems environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to gather business requirements and create technical solutions
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) development experience
  • 3+ Years of database experience designing tables, stored procedures and views including utilizing SQL Server.
  • Ability to understand complex interrelationships between different user interface elements
