The Wholesale Cross Business Analytics Team is seeking a senior application systems engineer with responsibilities related to Wholesale Finance Reporting and Corporate Trust Finance Reporting applications. Application support and development initiatives will include activities ranging from planning through deployment within a highly complex business analytics environment leveraging Microsoft SQL server and SSIS technologies. Core responsibilities will include: data design and modeling, ETL process enhancement with PL/SQL and troubleshooting on SQL server, application development, Unit testing and support as well as performance improvement analysis.
The ideal candidate will be motivated to contribute and lead design and development initiatives within a highly complex business environment. This candidate will work closely with business partners to evaluate business requirements, write functional design specs and participate in efficient development delivery and deployment; evaluate system designs for efficiency with focus on performance; and will be responsible for collaborating closely with teammates, DBAs, and interfacing partners as well as ensuring quality throughout the development lifecycle. They will participate as needed in compliance, risk and regulatory, and governance processes and will need to develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides as needed; as well as assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversee planning and execution of the business continuation plan.
The individual for this role, must possess in-depth knowledge of SQL Server development with large-volume data processing with knowledge of web-based technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 7+ years of SQL Server SSIS, SSRS and SSAS experience
  • 7+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
  • 5+ years of .net experience

Desired Qualifications
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • ASP.Net experience
  • Advanced web development skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture: solutions for web applications and web services
  • Proven experience with conducting risk and process assessments
  • Ability to achieve high production and quality standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Financial services experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
