Treasury Management Sales

First level sales consultant position responsible for development and retention of Treasury Management business for an assigned customer base, geographic area, market segment or series of product lines.

This position is responsible for consultative selling of Treasury Management products and services to the Early Stage Life Science sector of the Corporate Healthcare specialized industry line of business. This is a rapidly growing segment of clients who require high-touch support from a sales consultant who is visible, credible and consistent. Early Stage Life Science clients span venture-stage to $20MM+ in annual revenues. Clients and prospects specialize in biopharma, diagnostics, medical technology and healthcare IT. Many of these clients need educated on the value of Treasury Management and Wells Fargo, therefore this position will require a strong strategic plan, continual refinement of the plan, high calling activity and the desire to invest the time needed to fully develop these clients. Works under the direction of Sales Manager and/or more senior sales consultants.

This position will work closely with dedicated Life Science relationship managers on a market plan that segments these clients/prospects by potential opportunity. The TMSC will be responsible for meeting annual sales/pipeline goals and corresponding sales activity including: developing sales plans, executing regular calling programs, and analyzing customer and market needs. Must effectively manage team, internal/bank, and external partner relationships and provide consistent updates to leadership.

This individual must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment, be very organized, be a team player, and help develop knowledge of products, pricing strategies, tools and sales process to be effective. Ability to travel 2-3 days per week is necessary.

  • *Note: This position will support Market offices in the Eastern U.S., with the majority of the portfolio located in the NorthEast.**

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: sales, business development, or treasury management

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
