Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Production Engineer in Technology as part of Wealth Investment Management Technology's (WIMt) engineering and transformation office. This role will support the Platform Support Team for the Advisor Platform Application.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of application production support experience
  • 3+ years of platform engineering experience
  • 3+ years of scripting and automation experience
  • 3 + years of enterprise Splunk engineering experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of Salesforce experience
  • Production application support experience in a 24x7 environment.
  • Cloud computing experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of web systems: architecture or design
  • Knowledge and understanding of Windows OS administration
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation: for technical design documentation used by engineering teams
  • 3 + years of .Net and Java application development experience or a combination of both
  • Ability to manage SSL certificates processes ranging from monitoring SSL certificate expiration dates, ordering certificates, and installing certificates on servers in a timely manner to assure product availability
  • Knowledge and understanding of lifecycle management, including implementation, maintenance, patching, health checks, capacity planning, and decommissioning
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work on call as assigned
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holiday
