Wells Fargo is seeking a highly-skilled Lead Communications Consultant to develop and implement customer-facing servicing communications for the Merchant Services organization. Reporting to the Merchant Services Product Communications leader, this individual contributor will lead the end-to-end process of drafting and laying out communications to gaining approvals and overseeing implementation. - Develop project-specific communications and channel delivery approaches in collaboration with project sponsors from across Merchant Services
- Manage multiple, widely varying communications projects simultaneously, including high-profile initiatives driven by contractual agreements or regulations
- Directly author customer-facing communications content ensuring all digital communications are accessible for those with disabilities
- Oversee production of email and direct mail communications, including management of data/mail files, personalization, and variable content, as well as proofing of art files, and live laser audits
- Develop and implement communications strategies to promote and protect Wells Fargo's reputation
- Partner with other Communications teams to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging
- 5+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Expertise in directly authoring customer-facing communications on complex topics
- Experience collaborating with functional, technical, and/or specialist partners to understand communication specification and presentment needs as it relates to and influences your copy development in a specific channel or asset type (e.g. understands word counts, layouts, fonts and sizes, etc.) and proactively anticipates other relevant copy requirements in a finished communication you contribute to or collaborate on
- Experience simplifying the complex
- Ability to oversee end-to-end email and direct mail production, including list/data and mail file management, proofing and Quality Assurance, and backend reporting
- Working knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) levels A and AA.
- Outstanding written communication skills, coupled with a love of correct grammar
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines, with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Results-oriented focus - a resourceful and industrious self-starter
- Comfort and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic, matrixed environment
- Facility in building productive business relationships and influencing peers, partners, and senior leaders to gain buy-in
- Experience influencing and building on customer service communications standards and style guides and becoming the keeper of service communications approaches
- Experience and/or interest in working in Kanban teams
- Experience in B2B communications
- Familiarity with the payments industry
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule
- Ability to travel up to 10%
