About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Architect - Cloud security, for the Cybersecurity Architecture Team as a part of Wells Fargo Technology.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the implementation of complex projects and initiatives that have companywide scope
  • Create architectural artifacts for products and key technology initiatives with a focus on Cloud security
  • Participate in the definition of future technology architecture and strategy
  • Identify architecture modernization and simplification opportunities
  • Conduct complex technology and system assessments for architecture solutions
  • Communicate the companywide Architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams
  • Make decisions in the development and maintenance of architectures
  • Ensure applications adhere to established Wells Fargo standards, policies, methodologies and industry best practices
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise on security best practices for cloud-based systems and applications

  • 5+ years of Systems Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of Cybersecurity architecture or engineering experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in multi-cloud security architecture, design and implementation for regulated industries
  • Proven experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP or AWS
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code (PaC) principles and tools, and the ability to design and implement secure and compliant infrastructure using these tools
  • Understanding of cloud-native and cloud-based security solutions, and the ability to integrate these solutions into cloud security architectures
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and principles, and experience implementing Zero Trust policies in cloud environments
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Security and cloud certifications, such as CISSP, CCSP and Azure, AWS, GCP cloud certifications
