Wells Fargo Commercial Lending Technology is seeking an experienced JAVA Web developer to join the development/support team for our LPI (Loan Product Initiator) application. Candidate will assume responsibilities for design and development in supporting and enhancing this Wealth management loan pricing application. Successful candidates for this position must be capable of completing assignments within specified deadlines, producing quality work, and learning the application quickly.

This person must be reliable, a solid team player, and self-motivated. Duties will include working with business analyst and business partners to understanding user requirements, design, develop code, unit test, and deploy system enhancements. Other duties may include coordinating with systems partners outside the team and overseeing contractors on projects. Some night and weekend work may be required to deploy releases and support the application.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Front-end development, rule based business logic implementation and database interaction
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system design, potential issues, and, impact analysis for each project
  • Conduct peer code reviews
  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for the developed application
  • Review requirements and develop implementation strategies that preserve the availability, performance, integrity, stability, and scalability of application
  • Work with business and technology partners to prevent or solve difficult availability and performance issues
  • Interact with technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of web development experience; including programming and developing web applications

Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of web development experience; including programming and developing web applications
  • 5+years of Java experience
  • 1+ year of JavaScript framework experience
  • Hands-on experience with n-tier J2EE technologies: Java, JSP, JavaScript, Hibernate, Spring
  • Experience with JBoss and/or Tomcat application servers
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Eclipse Indigo
  • Experience with SDLC tools and processes including Enterprise Subversion, GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, UDeploy, Gradle
  • Experience with the following: Drools, Drools Workbench or Guvnor, Web Services, JMS, SQL, Ant, Ajax, HTML, XML, and XSLT
  • Experience with App Dynamics
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills in a complex business and technical environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Skills in mentoring and coaching less experienced developers
  • Knowledge of commercial loan applications
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
