Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) is one of the company's four main divisions. WIM businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement.

Retirement: Wells Fargo Retirement is a top retirement provider to institutional customers across the U.S. Wells Fargo ranks second in annuity distribution, sixth in IRA assets and eighth in retirement recordkeeping. The company also administers custody assets, provides investments and executive benefits to institutional clients.

The IRT Sales Associate provides consultative sales support to the IRT Sales Representatives responsible for selling Trust and Custody services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: generating new business opportunities by developing relationships and acting as product specialist to key referral sources; facilitating and managing all aspects of the sales process including requests for proposals (RFPs), initial pricing, preparing final sales presentations, competitor analysis, etc.; partnering with sales team and key business partners to identify and recommend solutions to prospective client's situations. In smaller markets, may include direct wholesaling of IRT products and services through intermediary distribution channels (Financial Advisors, Registered Investment Advisors, Consultants, and Bankers). Approaches deals in a strategic and customized manner, influencing and making recommendations for sales approach, presentation, and pricing. Viewed as a subject matter expert and sought by others for advice or guidance. May work and represent sales on special projects as assigned. May provide onboarding and training for new hires and assists in their assimilation into the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: defined contribution, defined benefit, or non-qualified plans; in the retirement industry
