About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Independent Testing Specialist in Corporate Risk as part of Enterprise Functions Testing and Validation.

The Enterprise Functions T&V team is seeking an Independent Testing Specialist with the Regulatory Reporting Incremental Compliance Team to support testing activities. This testing specialist will be accountable for the execution of substantive testing over regulatory and risk reports.

In this role, you will:

Responsibilities of the Independent Testing Specialist role include, but are not limited to:

  • Execute substantive testing of regulatory and risk reports
  • Effectively communicating the validation or testing process, status, and results to IT&V leadership, business, and risk partners
  • Writing and/or reviewing reports or presentations that clearly articulate the results/conclusions of validation or testing activities
  • Effectively communicating with IT&V Leadership and escalating concerns or issues as appropriate
  • Identifying and implementing efficiencies and process improvements
  • Providing credible challenge and recommendations to IT&V Leadership as needed
  • Actively participating in learning & development opportunities to ensure the use of best in class processes and procedures
  • Assisting in managing change to ensure an effective risk management program
  • Fostering relationships with teams and collaborating across other all T&V teams effectively

  • 2+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory reporting: Federal Reserve, OCC, and SEC
  • Public Accounting experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines
  • Experience creating, executing, and documenting compliance testing
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: compliance, risk management, or audit operations
  • Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing
  • Critical Thinking and Analytical skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong relationship management skills: ability to negotiate difficult positions without harming relationships
