Wells Fargo Enterprise Global Services (WFEGS) enables global talent capabilities for Wells Fargo Bank NA., by supporting over half of Wells Fargo's business lines and staff functions across Technology, Business Services, Risk Services and Knowledge Services. Department Overview
The WFS Operations Shared Services team is a cross-functional group of teams that provide support for WFS as well as the broader Wells Fargo organization. The Client Onboarding team is responsible for the initial setup and maintenance of clients including account opening, regulatory changes, and off boarding. The teams ensure that clients are legally eligible and properly configured to transact with Wells Fargo Securities. The Product and Trade Configuration teams are responsible for several artifacts including security master and inventory master. The Tax Operations team is responsible for providing the relevant tax withholding and reporting functions on behalf of clients as well as other Wholesale lines of business. The team is tasked with staying up to date on the latest tax regulations and ensuring compliance with the IRS

About the Role
This role responsible for the operational performance of processes within the organisation. Contributes to formulation of organization wide operational strategy, may serve on LOB/ Organization wide tasks or project teams. Manages processes and leads a team of 100+ team members. Actively participates in projects/process enhancements and encourages creative thinking amongst the team.

Key Responsibilities
This senior management position will have oversight of the India Operations Shared Services, a cross-functional group that provides support for the below functions in Corporate Investment Bank
1. Client Onboarding, Tax Operations, Agreement Management, Approval to transact, Data Integrity and Strategy, Client Service

The Leader will join the global management of Shared Service and will drive meaningful and complex initiatives across technology transformation, regulatory implementations, data quality, process optimization, service, and risk management with a view to cultivate a culture that excels in operational execution and change the bank efforts

  • Manage multiple teams to ensure successful service delivery with quality to various global stakeholders
  • To be proactive in identifying process, knowledge gaps and effectively manage escalations
  • Work with delivery teams on SLA adherence, process Improvements, Regulatory Compliance & audits
  • Provide monthly performance metrics and governance
  • Develop, maintain a world class and productive team to ensure strong focus on objectives, training, succession planning, career development
  • Manage training needs of the team along with ensuring completion of the mandatory targets
  • Complete performance management, conduct appraisals, action plans for people development
  • Ensure learning initiatives, adherence to discipline, punctuality and compliance by the team
  • Maintain a strong relationship with global stakeholders, influencing to arrive at the right decisions
  • Interact with the business partners / requestors on regular basis to help them manage expectations
  • Institute sturdy communication with business partners to manage/ proactively avoid escalations
  • Ensure operational practices are in compliance with risk standards, policies and regulations to maintain an effective control environment
  • Lead the change initiatives across data function & partnership with the global stakeholders.
  • Convert business problem statements for cost effective, scalable, reliable & user friendly solutions, in partnership with Technology


Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
  • MBA or an advanced degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 18+ years of experience in Investment banking Operations, 10+ years of Data operations experience with a top-tier bank covering Reference/Client/Product data operations, including 12+ years at supervisory level
  • Strategic thinking and good business judgment
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with business partners and other support functions
  • Connect to communicate and work in a cross-functional team to achieve common goals
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage expectations and deliver on commitments
  • Must be a great team player with a high degree of flexibility, prepared to work in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent presentation skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, should be comfortable dealing with senior management
  • Structured and Disciplined in approach, with strong execution focus and strong organization skills
  • Proactive control and risk management, addressing gaps in processes and escalating issues to benefit the business and clients in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to successfully influence many different groups and individuals to deliver high quality and timely deliverables
  • Consultative in approach, understanding and anticipating business partner needs and proactively delivering solutions
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Experience working with senior leaders straddling across Technology, Operations and Strategy a plus
