Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers' financial needs.
Wholesale Business Data Leadership (BDL) team in DMI manages the relationship between DMI and the Business and coordinates the execution of data activities across DMI, business, technology and architecture; Develops and executes roadmaps for migrating the data environment to target state (e.g., data provisioning, application rationalization); Leads or provides support to meet LOB data needs.
The Relationship Management (RM) Analyst role within the Wholesale BDL team will focus on executing the roles and responsibilities of the data RM function in support of one or more lines of business within Wholesale. They will also be responsible for control & risk functions aligned to Wholesale business. The RM Analyst facilitates the execution of DMI's engagement with one or more of the assigned lines of businesses within Wholesale, acting as a liaison to champion the data needs while ensuring alignment with DMI's enterprise data strategy and policy. This individual will support the efforts of the Data Relationship Manager to provide a single "front door" into all of DM&I's services, providing a comprehensive view of all DM&I activity for that Wholesale LOB; intake of new data engagements, and prioritization of Wholesale data demands, and championing Wholesale data changes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Review and understand new strategic initiatives and project priorities from the assigned Wholesale LOBs that have key data needs or implications (Data Intake Process)
  • Bring together business sponsors and SMEs as well as DMI, project and EIT partners to fully capture what is needed and champion the development of solutions that strike a balance between a practical data approach to business problem vs the need for an ongoing commitment to leveraging and furthering the Enterprise Data Environment (EDE)
  • Analyze data sourcing needs and connect with the Enterprise Data Provisioning roadmap to leverage data that is already available (strategically) or incorporate into future sourcing plan
  • Provide navigation support to the project approval and funding process for required DMI and/or Data Ecosystem reviews and Intake steps
  • Engage with the Wholesale BDL execution groups for resource assignment and incorporation in workbook for execution
  • Manage communication routines with stakeholders (business, technology, operations)
  • Support LOB-driven data projects and activities by providing strategic influence, supporting prioritization discussions, and aligning target state data management capabilities


Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis
  • 1+ year of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools


Desired Qualifications
  • Wholesale banking experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of project implementation
  • Relationship support exposure; preferably within Wells Fargo's Wholesale Banking Group
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge or Understanding of Wholesale business process, products and systems
  • Familiarity with data architecture, data management and data governance best practice
  • 5+ years of experience in business case analysis and/or project planning
  • 5+ years of experience in client business engagement (internal or external clients)


Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

NC-Charlotte: Min: $80,500 Mid: $115,000
