Department Overview:
Independent Risk Management(IRM) is a key component of WFEGS. Consumer Credit Risk Management within IRM brings a Team Member-based approach to the international talent pool focusing on analytical requirements. It encompasses roles that deliver insights and analysis based on skills, experience and judgment. Team Members exercise this judgment under general direction versus rule-driven processing. Responsibility :
The Loss Estimation and Analytics Team is looking for an experienced Credit Risk Analytics Consultant 4. Responsibilities for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Derive robust and consistent methodologies and business assumptions of vintage loss estimation for cards and unsecured loans portfolios
  • Evaluate and recommend best practices of loss estimation - to balance science vs. art - while properly suit unique business needs
  • Develop/Streamline an automation process for Loss Estimation Tracking & Validation
  • Develop/retain/present detailed documentation for model compliance
  • Coherently support ad-hoc analysis for business partners and governance
  • Working closely with risk strategy managers, finance managers to provide estimates for the financial planning and analysis


Essential Qualification

  • 7+ years consumer credit risk experience with at least 5 Years of Credit card and/or unsecured lending experience in risk reporting or risk analytics functions
  • A strong willingness to engage in a continuous learning environment through data and analytics
  • Demonstrated experience telling stories with data to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent SAS, Excel, and VBA skills
  • Experience in Model Tracking & Validation Compliance
  • Ability to design and structure complex data & modeling framework for monitoring and analytical reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to build and document decision trees and process flows based on historical data
  • Must be able to learn and work independently while managing time and priorities efficiently
  • Good verbal communication, written documentation and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field

Market Skills and Certifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • A credit risk management leader with at least 7 years of increasing responsibility within consumer lending
  • Understanding of analytic/scored decisioning environment
  • Experience in Model Tracking & Validation Compliance
  • Ability to design and structure complex data & modeling framework for monitoring and analytical reporting
  • Demonstrated excellence at developing sound credit processes and enhancing existing processes
  • Proficiency with SAS macros and experience in leveraging macros to make processes more efficient. Expert in VBA and Excel
  • Understanding of risk management practices, extensive knowledge of financial cash flow / NPV model analysis
  • Ability/willingness to periodically travel to U.S.
