Job Description

This analyst will be focused on government credits, responsible for analyzing complex municipalities and conducting presentations on findings to senior management. Functions include: conducting complex credit investigations and analyzing diverse credit information for loans; analyzing/formalizing documentation of loan transactions and/or credit history of customers; assisting in preparation of credit reports for presentation to lending officers and/or approval committees; performing research/analysis related to projects such as industry studies and management reports.

This position supports the Local Government Division of GIB and the successful candidate will be dealing exclusively with municipal customers. Therefore experience with municipal analysis is strongly desired.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of credit analysis experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with analysis of municipal entities
