Job Description

Wholesale Banking serves large corporations, middle-market businesses, governments, and institutions worldwide. It has more than 50 business lines organized under 11 groups. Commercial Real Estate (CRE), is one of the products and service Groups that belongs to Wholesale Banking, and typically extends credit for construction and other commercial real estate projects.

The CRE Real Estate Records Management (RERM) team ensures that adequate property, flood, and other insurances are obtained when a loan is originated that is secured by real estate. The RERM group also monitors required insurances from origination and throughout the life of the loan, which may include flood insurance. Among other functions, the RERM team also monitors and services tax tracking, UCC, and escrows. The CRE RERM group is also responsible for the monitoring of federal flood compliance requirements issued by FEMA for all lines of business RERM supports and services; RERM works with vendors, the front office, the customer, agents, and others, to ensure all required Insurances and Flood compliance requirements are in force.

The candidate will be responsible for learning all aspects of the department and will be required to work across multiple systems and databases. Processes will include tax services, UCC, escrows, and insurance to ensure Regulations and Wells Fargo requirements are met. The candidate will function to meet highest levels of quality and customer service expectations.

This position will primarily deal with UCC Servicing for Commercial Real Estate. This includes searches, monitor requests, continuations, terminations, etc.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: banking, accounting, finance, title, insurance, loan administration, or loan servicing

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
