Responsible for supporting, reviewing, negotiating, and adjusting a primarily low risk collection portfolio which typically requires special handling or analysis to reduce delinquent/problem loans within framework of company, vendor, or investor guidelines. Functions may include: analyzing credit/account information; skip tracing; handling workout and restructuring problem loans; restructuring payment plans; may analyze vendor program remedies/recourse to determine loss projections; may support vendor programs and volume goals through regular and consistent vendor interaction; may assist in preparation of legal actions; analyze account equity to determine loss projections; monitor portfolio for policy compliance for BQR, CQR and adherence to risk ratings and compliance matters. Utilizes a solid understanding of company policies, procedures and collection systems in performance of duties. Refers more complex issues to higher level portfolio staff.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of experience in one or a combination of the following: customer contact, customer service, collections, loan workout, sales, or financial services; or an AA/AS degree or higher

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Solid problem solving skills

6+ months financial services experience

Collections experience
