Cash Vault - Operations Manager 1

The CLG team includes Home Lending, Consumer Credit Card, Personal Loans and Lines, Direct Auto, Dealer Services, Commercial Auto, Retail Services and Education Financial Services including the professional services teams that partner with these businesses - Human Resources, Finance, Credit Risk, and Compliance & Operational Risk.

Within the Operations team our Electronic & Commercial Services team processes cash and check deposits, fulfills currency and coin orders through cash vault services, provides retail and wholesale lockbox collection services, wire transfer services, and Treasury Management (TM) products and services, including monthly billing statements for Business Banking, Wholesale, International, and TM customers.

Cash Vault Services Division is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and self-motivated manager eager to expand their breadth of knowledge in our San Diego Cash Vault. This position will manage day to day Process and Support responsibilities and functions while ensuring work activities are processed according to established Regulatory, Risk and Compliance procedures. Coordinate workflow to ensure work activities are prioritized and scheduled according to Service Level Agreements. Effectively direct and control all responsibilities for receipt, check in, balancing and credit of all armored courier deliveries. Effectively provides support for deposit processing. Assists with forecasting financials and volumes daily. Accountable to site manager for unit budget. Develop and implement process improvements to decrease risk and increase productivity. Identify and Develop continuous improvement opportunities. Conduct staff meetings to communicate plan details and implementation activities with team members. Define expectations for all employees and foster an environment of ownership and accountability. Actively solicit feedback and ideas from subordinate staff. Conducts regular staff meetings, training and coaching sessions, addresses performance issues, writes and provides performance and planning appraisals. Operates as a team player and participates in employee recognition programs. Guide team members on most effective/efficient means of performing tasks. Coach team members on training and career development. Interact with and share information with Process Managers, Peers and Related Partners to ensure all goals are accomplished.

Schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, or until work is complete. This is an open-ended schedule, where start and end times are determined by work volumes. Schedule flexibility is required.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of operations experience
  • 1+ year of leadership experience in an operations environment

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Cash handling experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of cash vault operations
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems
