Capital Markets Middle Office Analyst

We are looking for a high-caliber candidate to joins the Wells Fargo Securities Japan team in the following key position: Japan Middle Office Analyst

Responsibilities:

The candidate will work as part of the Wells Fargo Securities Japan Middle Office team to support Fixed Income Sales and Trading in Tokyo. The candidate will interact closely with multiple business partners including the Chief Operating Officer, Fixed Income Sales and Trading, Finance, Technology, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Legal, Middle Office and Operations in various jurisdictions.   • Manage and work with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of Japan Fixed Income in areas such as:
  • Trade Processes
  • Settlement Monitoring
  • Client Onboarding
  • Data Analytics Reporting
  • Monitor position maintenance and trade captures.
  • Execute exception resolution across trades and settlements.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and client data integrity.
  • Bring groups together to resolve multi-faceted issues to be a liaison where necessary to facilitate the resolution on sales and trading-related issues.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to provide solutions and assist management with middle office-related initiatives.
  • Assist the Japan Chief Operating Officer on both Japan and global strategic business initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Full-time status.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Japanese.
  • 1-2 years work experience in a fixed income sales support or back / middle office role.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Candidate must have strong analytical skills to work with a variety of systems and groups.
  • Candidate must have, or ability to have knowledge of the technical and fundamentals affecting the markets.
  • Candidate must be prepared to work on a diverse range of projects which may include various asset classes within the securities division.
  • Candidate must have a college degree from an accredited institution.
  • JSDA Sales Representative Series 1 licensed.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
