C# .Net Senior Engineer - Asset Backed Finance

Job Description

The ABF (Asset-Backed Finance) Technology team is seeking an experienced C# .NET developer to assist with building out a platform of core services, tools, and data to be used by all other applications within ABF Technology.

Expectations for the candidate:

  • Act as a technical lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.
  • Analyze highly complex business requirements, design and write technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications.
  • Provide coding direction to less experienced staff or develop highly complex original code.
  • Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.
  • Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs.
  • Oversee overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production.
  • Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides.
  • Lead projects, allocate and manage resources, and manage the work of less experienced staff.
  • Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversee creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.

The candidate will be responsible for meeting aggressive timelines, working and coordinating with a vast array of Capital Market .NET and Java development teams both onshore and offshore.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of C# experience
  • 5+ years of .net experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 2+ years of SOA (Services Oriented Architecture) experience
  • 2+ years of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) development experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 3+ years of UI (User Interface) experience
  • 2+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 2+ years of experience with MS Azure cloud computing technology
  • 2 + years of Multi-Threading experience
  • Object Oriented Design (OOD) experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of UI development experience, either windows (e.g. WPF) or web (e.g. MVC, HTML5, SignalR)
  • 2+ year of experience with caching and/or messaging middleware (Coherence, Solace, TIBCO, etc.)
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and solve problems in a rapidly changing environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Capital Markets products and trade flow
