Consumer Lending includes Home Mortgage, Home Equity, Dealer Services, Educational Financial Services, Consumer Credit Card, Rewards and Enhancements Services, and Personal Credit Management businesses.

The Dealer Services Line of Business (LoB) within Wells Fargo Consumer Lending is seeking an experienced Business Process Consultant 2 (BPC2) for its growing Compliance and Operational Risk team (COR). The BPC2 will work with the COR team and coordinate all work activities for: business process reengineering; process improvement and design; risk assessment; change recommendations and implementation; and impact analysis.

This BPC2 will be aligned to the Collections & Servicing business areas within Dealer Services Operations. The Consultant will serve as liaison for Collections and Servicing and will identify process improvement opportunities across all the organization. The position will be aligned with re-engineering projects, providing recommendations on risk controls.

Key duties and responsibilities of this position includes, but is not limited to:

  • Organizes, leads, and facilitates cross-entity, enterprise wide redesign initiatives that encompass end to end analysis and future state redesign that requires specialized knowledge or skill critical to the redesign effort.
  • Develops root cause analyses and business cases for proposed technology, staff, and structure changes, including cost estimates.
  • Establishes standards for measuring performance against process requirements.
  • Aligns projects to management strategy.
  • Produces new process improvement techniques and services.
  • Develops metrics that provide data for process management indicators for future improvement opportunities.
  • Identifies and manages resources, including cross-entity members, to successfully execute projects.
  • Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
  • May support M&A integration efforts, possibly taking a lead role.
  • Coaches multiple redesign teams in six sigma process and tools.
  • Drives business awareness of quality/process methodology.
  • **Preferred locations are 23 Pasteur Irvine, CA; 6051/6061 N State Hwy 161 Irving, TX; 1150 W Washington St Tempe, AZ ; however, other Wells Fargo locations may be considered for the right candidate***

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business analysis experience or 7+ years of business process engineering experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of business processes analysis and enhancing operations to accomplish business objectives
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of financial controls and risk
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or reengineering disciplines
  • 2+ years collections/servicing experience with Wells Fargo Dealer Services or Auto Finance
  • 4+ years experience with process improvement and design; change implementation; customer analysis; and resource allocation.
  • Experience evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems, and internal controls; analyzing business and/or systems changes to determine impact
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced presentation, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
