Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) is one of the company’s four main divisions. WIM businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement.

Wealth Management is a leading provider of financial services to high-net worth clients through Wells Fargo Private Bank, and to the affluent segment through partnerships between Wealth Brokerage Services and the Community Bank. We are embarking on a multi-year Operational Excellence journey to transform our operating environment to one that will enable our team members to deliver exceptional service more seamlessly to our clients. Wealth Management Services is looking for a Business Process Consultant to work with business leaders to identify, champion, and execute business process initiatives or programs to improve their operations or client experience as well as lead business process management or workflow implementations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and support the process analysis, business requirements, process design, and implementation of business process management initiatives using IBM BPM platform (Blueworks Live) primarily from a business perspective
  • Partner with technology on the technical implementation of the BPM solution using the IBM Playback or Agile methodology
  • Work with business partners to define, develop, and maintain process metrics and KPIs to determine operational excellence success and future improvement opportunities.
  • Develop business case for proposed technology, staff and structure changes.
  • Effectively facilitate small to large groups in business process discussions.
  • Develop and lead process redesign initiatives.
  • Maintain business process models as business processes change over time
  • Develop documentation and presentations to drive business awareness of quality/process methodology
  • Create user stories
  • 10-15% travel

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, combined with business acumen, to support the implementation and successful integration of new capabilities/enhancements.
  • Proven ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues
  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with demonstrated success in influencing others to move toward consensus
  • Ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies
  • Ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions
  • Ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business analysis experience or 7+ years of business process engineering experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of business processes analysis and enhancing operations to accomplish business objectives
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of financial controls and risk
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Wealth management experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong strategic planning skills

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience designing and implementing process solutions for automation
  • Ability to transfer knowledge to members of the team and act as Subject Matter Expert in Business Process automation
  • Strong knowledge of process modeling tools such as Visio, iGrafx, Blueworks Live, etc
  • Experience creating process models using BPMN standards
  • Lean or Six sigma certification
  • Ability to transfer knowledge to members of the team and act as Subject Matter Expert in Business Process automation
  • Operations experience in lending, deposits, and/or call center environments
  • Strategic planning or management consulting experience
