The CLG team includes Home Lending, Personal Loans and Lines, Direct Auto, Dealer Services, Commercial Auto, Retail Services and Education Financial Services including the professional services teams that partner with these businesses and other key partners.

The Business Initiatives Consultant 2/Consumer Credit Solutions (CCS) Centralized Vendor Management will enable more optimal adherence to third party-related policy/procedures across CCS through:

  • Identification of new/emerging/revised policy and procedure requirements for CCS vendor management team
  • Creating sustainable processes related to phases of vendor management for consistency and adherence to Enterprise requirements
  • Collaborating with CCS QA/QC Testing team to create/enhance internal processes as a result of thematic testing findings
  • Partnering closely with Third Party Risk Management Program Team, Ops Risk, Compliance and Audit for emerging trends and/or upcoming changes to vendor management requirements
  • Promoting sustainability, where possible

This role will be responsible for leadership of cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives. (Examples might include, but are not limited to: finance/operational/ executive management review coordination, process improvement and redesign, change management initiatives)

  • Identification of new/emerging/revised policy and procedure requirements for CCS vendor management team
  • Creating sustainable processes related to phases of vendor management for consistency and adherence to Enterprise requirements
  • Provides leadership in the integration/implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary
  • Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of vendor-related programs, services and initiatives
  • Ensures CCS vendor management plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations
  • Partnering closely with Third Party Risk Management Program Team, Ops Risk, Compliance and Audit for emerging trends and/or upcoming changes to vendor management requirements
  • Collaborating with CCS QA/QC Testing team to create/enhance internal processes as a result of thematic testing findings

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience serving as a consultant to manager on matters relative to policies and procedures. Leading reviews including analysis and trending of findings, proposes recommendations. This team member will have extensive business knowledge, subject matter expertise which is critical in assessing, defining, recommending policy and/or procedure revisions.
  • Experience interpreting Enterprise policy/procedure for applicable execution within Line of Business (LoB)
  • Experience writing policy/standards/procedures including ongoing maintenance
  • Creating and implementing new processes/strategy
  • Communicating new processes, policy/procedures updates to large audiences for implementation (Third Party Services/Vendor-related, Operational Risk-related and/or Compliance-related preferred)
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Demonstrated experience as a strategic thought leader.
