About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Director to work in the Chief Administration Office of the WIM Banking, Lending & Trust COE. This leader is responsible for managing the portfolio of Enterprise programs that BL&T must execute against on an ongoing basis. This person leads, executes and governs key enterprise programs across BL&T, inclusive of Policy and Procedure Management, Complaints, Customer Redress, BCP, Third Party Risk, Recovery and Resolution Planning, Business Process Management, and Loudspeaker, amongst others. Additionally, this person manages the strategic initiative intake and governance process as outlined by the emerging Change Management Policy.

  • Serve as the primary BL&T liaison with BL&T Governance and Oversight team, WIM CAO, WIM Control Executive team, and the Enterprise program leads.
  • Partner with other leaders within BL&T, WIM, and the Enterprise to remove roadblocks, provide resources and do whatever is needed to meet Enterprise program requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Define, design, and facilitate the implementation of repeatable processes to enable BL&T to execute on Enterprise programs in an efficient manner.
  • Serve as a strategic thought leader aligning like processes across the Enterprise and WIM programs in a manner that helps the business manage the business, enhance the customer experience and reduce risk.
  • Define and execute executive reporting on the status and key issues with each of the Enterprise programs.
  • Partner closely with business managers across the BL&T businesses.
  • Partner with WIM, key shared services (Finance, HR) and BL&T Product leader to ensure execution on horizontal business initiatives outside of product, organizational efficiency efforts, expense initiatives and span of control deliverables as they relate to Enterprise programs.
  • Manage and develop multiple business functional areas with focus on implementing and delivering long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes
  • Lead Business Execution team for assigned initiatives ensuring solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Interpret and develop a range of policies and procedures for long-range and fundamental retooling of perspective, approach, culture, quality, relationships, operations, and capabilities
  • Collaborate and influence functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of financial services experience
  • Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following: Business Continuity Planning, Third Party Risk, Policy and Procedure Management, Business Process Management, or Complaints
  • Knowledge and understanding of Wealth and Investment management business and operational capabilities
  • Ability to navigate in a matrixed organization, build relationships across varied stakeholder groups and effectively negotiate and influence across all levels in an organization
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with peers and leaders
  • Strong communicator with excellent meeting facilitation, oral and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multi-discipline teams to plan and execute complex solutions
  • Strong organizational and plan management skills
  • Results-oriented with ability to motivate and mobilize resources to accomplish objectives
  • Experience exercising independent judgment and using creative problem-solving techniques
