Job Description

Wells Fargo Bank N.A. has an opening for an Applications System Engineer in San Francisco, CA.

DUTIES:

Responsible for contributing to the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the specialized, highly complex compliance software in the calculation of Basel III regulatory capital and capital leverage ratios. Will have enterprise-wide exposure internally to senior management, lines of business and compliance / audit functions and externally to regulatory agencies. Analyze, design, develop, and implement the Basel III changes to support the regulatory requirements for effective capital calculation and reporting with OFSAA. Act as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Act as an internal consultant within technology by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.

REQUIRES:

Bachelor degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in application deployment and supporting implementations of OFSAA solutions in the financial industry.

Experience must include:

  • Five (5) years of experience with translating business requirements into OFSAA Metadata Objects and Components and map data elements from models to the OFSAA data model.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Regulatory Capital.
  • Five (5) years of experience with architectural components of OFSAA and various OFSAA modules including: Unified Metadata Manager – Import Model, Data Management Tools, Database Extracts (Table to Table Transformation – T2Ts), File Extracts, Post Load Changes (Data Transformations – DTs), Data Quality Framework, Business Metadata Management, Rules Framework (including: Design of Rules, Processes and Runs, Metadata Browser, Metadata Restore/Archive, Operations, Batch Maintenance, Execution and Monitoring).
  • Five (5) years of experience with OFSAA Infrastructure & OFSAA Architecture with domain knowledge in OFSAA solution work streams including: retail, wholesale, debt security.
  • Experience with PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions and writing efficient code in OLTP and OLAP environments including experience with query optimization and performance tuning.
