The Director of Human Resources at WellPower will champion a people-first approach to HR, leading the charge in revolutionizing traditional human resources practices into innovative and people-focused People Operations strategies. This role is responsible for both short- and long-term planning of the HR function. This role will lead strategically, innovatively, and tactically in areas of workforce planning, recruitment, total rewards, employee relations, training, and diversity initiatives. All while aligned with the mission to create an inclusive and thriving workplace culture centered around mental health, making a real difference in the lives of our employees and the community.

Pay Range & Benefits:

  • $129,965 – $152,900. Salary will be determined based upon experience, education, and certifications.

Location/Shift/Hours: This is a hybrid opportunity open to folks residing in the Greater Denver Metro area and will require 1-2 days per week on-site and the rest of the week working remotely. This is a Monday-Friday opportunity observing standard business hours. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Empower and inspire a team of passionate HR Business Partners, cultivating an environment where they can thrive and make a meaningful impact, form strong business partnerships, advisory, and service excellence across the organization. 
  • Act as a compassionate and trusted advisor, providing guidance and coaching to the HR team, and employees at all levels, promoting open communication, fostering a culture of trust and psychological safety, and inspiring personal and professional growth. 
  • Oversee the transformation of the talent acquisition team, infusing cutting-edge techniques and creative sourcing strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top talent who are aligned with our organization's commitment to mental health and our diverse and inclusive culture. 
  • Lead labor relations efforts, including union grievance resolution and bargaining, fostering positive employee relations and maintaining a harmonious work environment. 
  • Oversee the execution of WellPower’s total rewards strategy, ensuring competitiveness in the market as well as internal equity, including benefits, compensation, etc. 
  • Conduct research on new or complex HR issues, updating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations; while also pushing the boundaries of HR best practices to create policies and procedures that reflect the unique needs of our organization and foster a culture of trust, respect, and inclusivity. 
  • Collaborate with the VP of HR to generate regular HR reports for the CEO and Board, providing valuable data-driven insights and metrics to continuously evaluate and measure the effectiveness of our HR programs and initiatives, proactively making data-backed decisions and driving continuous improvement. 
  • Approve and coordinate all Independent Contractor agreements  
  • Develop and implement innovative HR programs and initiatives that promote employee engagement, well-being, and professional growth, while cultivating a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving, 
  • Provide oversight and support to the HRBP team in handling Employee Relations matters, including occasional internal investigations, promoting fair and equitable practices. 
  • In collaboration with the Director of Compliance, manage anonymous reporting hotline to ensure complaints are addressed. 
  • Act as a change agent, leading and overseeing change management initiatives as needed, fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience. 
  • Maintain a trauma-informed environment of well-being, prioritizing the mental health and emotional well-being of employees. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

EDUCATION:  Bachelor's degree and PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP required. Master's degree in human resources preferred, Org Psychology/Org Development, health administration, health field, or similar preferred. 

EXPERIENCE: 10+ years Human Resource experience with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position. Experience with a unionized workforce required. Experience within a health care organization, mental health and/or non-profit organization preferred. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role will directly supervise the HR Business Partner team, Talent Acquisition team, Benefits Team, HRIS Coordinator, and Front Office Assistants.
