We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our growing analytics team who work closely with both business and technical teams to proactively identify gaps in our knowledge base.  Using your advanced knowledge of our population and of our data, you will guide our marketing team to the best use of audiences for email and social media campaigns and then closely monitor campaigns and test results. To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter with excellent quantitative and communication skills, and bring to the role analytic experience and the ability to; efficiently manipulate data, conduct analyses and build dashboards to generate actionable insights with little guidance. Importantly, you must be curious and meticulous, with the patience to dig into murky datasets and carefully document your work.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Defining business requirements for Marketing Campaign test designs and model development.
  • Completing basic statistical analyses to determine campaign success.
  • Translating analytical model results to business insights and presenting complex quantitative analysis to non-technical marketing/business executive decision makers.
  • Building and analyzing reports and dashboards in our BI tools.
  • Documenting data requirements and think through complex problems to make actionable recommendations.
  • Performing ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

 

Qualifications & experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or Mathematics Preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL required.
  • Experience performing analyses with large datasets.
  • Data visualization (such as Tableau, Looker, Excel).
  • Knowledge of analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics, Omniture).
  • Ability to clearly communicate insights verbally, visually, and in writing.
  • Understanding of distinctions between data, insights, findings and implications.
  • Experience with data governance would be highly beneficial
