Reporting to the Sr. HRIS Manager, the Workday Configuration Lead is responsible for the development, configuration, and support of Workday at Wayfair with the opportunity to work and learn across Workday’s HCM, Time, Attendance, Compensation, Performance, Benefits, and Payroll modules

What You’ll Do

  • As part of a collaborative team, be a leader in the development, testing, configuration, and implementation of new Workday projects, enhancements, and interfaces  

  • Diagnose and resolve issues (e.g. - end-user, business process, security, etc…)

  • Own configuration for assigned areas, while providing advice and coaching across all configuration areas for the team

  • Work with functional team members to understand requirements and communicate system capabilities/limitations

  • Partner with key stakeholders to create business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional specification documents, test plans and test cases

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members

  • Maintain proper change management documentation to satisfy the company’s internal/external audit controls and compliance practices

  • Lead and manage major Workday releases for assigned areas, including identifying impacts and enhancements, directing regression testing and configuring required changes

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years of Workday Business Process and/or Domain Security configurations experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Workday HCM and at least two other functional areas: Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, Talent, Security and/or Reporting

  • Creative and innovative thinker - Come up with unique solutions to meet Wayfair’s business needs

  • Strong prioritization and project management skills - Prioritize your workload, break complex requests into manageable tasks, coordinate with others, and deliver on commitments

  • Strong communicator - Use written, verbal and listening skills to engage internal partners, understand their needs, and convey technical content to non-technical colleagues
