Shopping for the home is often overwhelming. Wayfair is an extreme case - it’s visited by two million people daily, shopping across more than 10 million products: Home furnishings, décor, home improvement, housewares, and more. We work hard to conceal the complexity of this experience. Every customer should come away feeling like they’ve found the perfect item for them. Your internship will be in one of the key functions across the business dependent on a combination of your interests, skills and experience. Functional areas of interest and potential team placements include:

 

Finance

The team is responsible for liaising with suppliers & internal stakeholders, such as category managers and supplier operations to ensure that all invoices are compliant, good quality and processed for payment. To ensure a seamless customer experience, the team handles payments to suppliers to ensure that orders are being processed and are ready to be delivered to our customers. Due to an in-house built system, the team can consistently implement new enhancements and updates.

 

Operations

Wayfair’s Operations team is revolutionizing customer delivery experience through innovation. The team has a broad scope, including Supplier Performance and Operations Analytics. The team develops and executes data-driven transformational strategies to generate game-changing competitive advantage and enduring customer satisfaction. Roles are highly cross-functional and cover strategy, analytics, and hands on execution. Success relies on innovative problem solving, strong business acumen, quantitative skills, and collaboration with external and internal partners. Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills and a desire to improve processes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Enthusiastic, with proven ability to quickly get up to speed
