These teams provide the essential link between our Customers, Suppliers and Carriers, supporting an amazing customer experience and enabling our partners’ success in the e-commerce arena. 

The data transformation team is one of Wayfair Europe's newest and most exciting initiatives. The team are tasked with revolutionizing the way Wayfair orders, tracks, stores and sells inventory. By understanding our inventory on a more granular level we unlock a myriad of supply chain benefits, positioning us as an industry leader in global fulfillment.

What You'll Do

  • Act as an interface between our suppliers and our back end technical teams, educating each other on their needs to ensure successful execution of our goals
  • Oversee and drive the end to end process of your suppliers as they move through the data transformation process, escalating when necessary 
  • Work effectively across teams and departments to ensure efficient collaboration
  • Gain a deep understanding of Wayfair’s systems 
  • Think pro-actively and critically about our internal processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness and supplier experience
  • Act as a problem solver to root cause issues and react quickly for resolution of issues, working closely with management to highlight trends and remove problems at source 
  • Use multiple tools and applications to fully execute on a defined process flow, transforming the way we look at our inventory’s back end data 
  • Become the SME for all things data transformation within the organisation 
  • Dissect and determine root causes of problems and help to implement solutions
  • Always striving for automation you will critically look at the way we do things and make suggestions for improvement  
  • Monitor overall performance on transformed data – ensuring it is transmitting fluidly between Wayfair and the Supplier


What You'll need

  • Experience working in operational environments, experience engaging with external partners (suppliers, vendors, carriers)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster great working relationships with various stakeholders
  • Analytically minded with experience working with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and creative approaches to issues as well as experience leading/driving projects/initiatives
  • Ability to work with a great level of autonomy, to prioritize tasks efficiently and to quickly adapt to change
  • High degree of attention to detail 
  • Positive and energetic with a can-do attitude and an eagerness to learn
  • Degree in Business Studies or Supply Chain preferably
  • Strong SQL & Excel skills 
  • Tech savvy 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and German, both written and spoken is mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to “hit the ground running” (a self-starter)
  • Creative thinking and constant desire to make processes better
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; willingness to get into the detail   
  • Ability to work with a great level of autonomy, to prioritize tasks efficiently and to quickly adapt to change
  • Experience with Data exchange, connections or EDI preferred
