Senior Deliverability Analyst

Ad Tech & Customer Intelligence (ATCI) builds products that let Wayfair communicate with new and existing customers effectively across advertising, email, and onsite touchpoints. Wayfair has a huge selection of products and offerings that make shopping for the home easy and exciting. Our goal is to use data-driven strategies to talk to the customer about the product they want, regardless of where they are or what stage of their shopping journey they are in. We are at the intersection of product, marketing, data science and technology which allows us to be a leader in the Ad Technology space. As a Platform Analyst for the Notifications team, your job is to utilize technical skills, analytical expertise, problem solving abilities, and communication skills to optimize notification performance. You will be an expert on email data and our email infrastructure. You will help solve exciting problems including how to maximize CLV for our list of acquired customers, how to optimize on messaging and timing for different channels, and how to ensure we are landing in our customer's inboxes.

What You'll Do

  • Communicate (via verbal, written, and visual media) high-impact findings to business stakeholders
  • Develop strategy for priority initiatives and lead implementation to drive step change improvements in performance
  • Closely monitor campaign performance daily, identify trends, opportunities for improvement and react to deviations from plan quickly and strategically
  • Become a subject matter expert on multiple Wayfair data sets
  • Institute rigorous test-and-learn methodology to achieve desired results
  • Join forces with the Data Science, Marketing and Engineering teams to contribute to our continuous efforts to improve our customer’s experience
  • Work with large and complex SQL, Hive, Vertica databases
  • Designing and building reports, dashboards, and analyses in Excel, Python, SQL, and Tableau

What You'll Need

  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical role which can include marketing, finance, or consulting
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries to gain business insights
  • Able to pivot readily and react to real-time data – our campaigns can be updated in an instant
  • Strong quantitative skills, comfortable navigating a data-driven business environment
  • Highly proficient with manipulating and visualizing data in Excel to slice data and tell your story in different ways and to different departments to get people excited about your workstreams
  • Understanding of email end-to-end delivery including IP addresses, authentication, etc. a plus
  • Ability to tackle several projects simultaneously and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization
  • Strong ideas and the ability to voice them but with a positive, people-oriented, and up-beat attitude
