Senior Analyst, E2E Design & Performance

Wayfair is redefining the way customers buy online and one of the key pillars of that strategy is to create a truly differentiated customer experience for large parcel items (e.g., couches, vanities).  To enable this differentiated experience, Wayfair is investing heavily to create the first-ever national large parcel supply chain all the way to the consumer’s home.  This is an exciting, fast-paced, and high-visibility initiative and we are looking for leaders who can help disrupt the status quo and redefine an industry.

We are looking for a Senior Analyst who will help lead the team responsible for driving performance analytics for our middle mile sites.  This individual will be innovative, process driven, analytical, and team oriented with an entrepreneurial and scrappy approach to problems.  This candidate must be able to thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment with Wayfair growing at an unprecedented 50% year over year.

Role / responsibilities:

  • Drive performance analytics for middle mile sites to best-in-class on operational and customer experience metrics
    • Dive into current operations and metrics to understand best practices and root causes of inefficiencies
    • Leverage internal and external sources to innovate and drive change and consistency in our operations
    • Identify, drive, and measure key initiatives to ensure we hit goals
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on customer and operational priorities
    • Key point of integration between corporate and the line management of the operations
  • Lead planning, analytics, and forecasting for the LP network
  • Scope high-level business problems into more specific questions which can then be answered by data-driven analysis
  • Contribute to big data analysis using SQL, R, Python and other software applications
  • Present data with a clear point of view so that insights can be used to help drive business strategy

Who you are:

  • You have at least 1 - 4 years of experience in an analytical/consulting role preferably with supply chain or logistics experience
  • You have a degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Physics, or other concentrations with heavy quantitative focus strongly preferred
  • Previous experience presenting business cases to senior leadership
  • Experience working within large datasets and passionate about solving complex business problems
  • You possess an affinity for data, and resourcefulness in obtaining data when clean and or complete information is not available
  • Possess strong written and verbal cross-functional communication skills
  • Positive, people-oriented, and enthusiastic
  • Technical experience using SQL, R, Python, or other languages
