Title: Business Intelligence Analyst 2

Duties: Partner with internal customers such as Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, Finance, and Sales & Service, or Core Websites to identify the most impactful ways for data and analytics to drive decision making and accelerate profitable growth. Analyze customer behavior and trends, developing new recommendations, and construct SQL queries, working with cutting edge technology and multi-terabyte datasets. Comprehend, extract, and massage information from multi-terabyte data sources including sales, clickstream, logistics, product, and customer databases to deliver business insights and recommendations. Design and build self-serve analytical solutions. Serve as the subject matter expert for data, analytics, and testing within a business unit to ensure accurate and proper interpretation of core business metrics and consumer behavior. Perform deepdive analysis, including the application of advanced analytical techniques, to solve complex business problems including website funnel progression, customer segmentation and targeting, and supply chain optimization; Develop data visualizations, including reports, dashboards, and analyses in Tableau to distribute data insights in an easily digestible manner to over 5000 global employees. Tailor technical implementations to complex business requirements as needed; and utilize Python, Scala, Java, and/or C++.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science, or engineering role performing quantitative analysis.
Experience must include one (1) year in at least three (3) of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Coding in SQL including use of aggregate functions and joins or coding in other structured program languages such as C, Java, or Python
- Quantitative analyses on large data sets and synthesizing findings using SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar
- Developing and optimizing innovative data products with clear and engaging visualizations
- Version control using GIT
- Performing data ETL
- Vertica database development including designing queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
