B2B PR Manager, Corporate Communications

Wayfair is looking for a PR Manager to join its Corporate Communications team, supporting the company’s fast-growing B2B businesses. This is a dynamic role for a well-rounded PR professional who has deep experience managing multiple brands or clients at once and the ability to develop specialized PR programs for multiple target audiences. A successful candidate will be results-driven and solutions-oriented with a passion for writing and a knack for measurement. The role will report to the Associate Director of Corporate Communications at Wayfair’s Boston headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to identify compelling stories that align with business objectives and key messages
  • Manage the PR program for Wayfair Professional, the company’s B2B business; drive the strategy and execution of PR campaigns and initiatives, raising awareness across industries spanning Interior Design, Hospitality, Office, Construction and Property Management
  • Work with internal stakeholders across the organization to identify compelling stories that align with business objectives and key messages
  • Identify compelling story angles by leveraging thought leadership content and data; partner closely with marketing and content teams to create news-worthy case studies and other content
  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking placements in business and trade media across key verticals
  • Contribute written content to external communications materials (press releases, media training, etc.)
  • Secure speaking opportunities; support presentation materials and provide preparation for internal spokespeople
  • Communicate and develop processes with internal teams to leverage PR assets across marketing channels
  • Monitor, analyze and recap PR results on a project and monthly basis

Technical Skills: 

  • Develop deep industry knowledge of e-commerce, retail and technology spaces as well as Interior Design, Hospitality, Office, Property Management and Construction
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, closely partnering with multiple stakeholders
  • Media and speaker training
  • Strong judgement, advanced writing, storytelling and presentation skills
  • Project and budget management
  • Ability to adjust plans and alter course of action based on changing circumstances

Required Qualifications: 

  • Strong experience in both consumer and B2B PR a must
  • Agency experience a must
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Critical thinker who is flexible and open to change and new information
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, extremely proactive, excellent follow through
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics, proficiency in Excel
  • Team-oriented, personable, articulate and comfortable interacting with senior team leadership and multiple departments across the organization
  • Grasps new information, recognizes own strengths and weaknesses, pursues self-development and seeks feedback
  • BA/BS in English, Communications, Public Relations, Business or related field 
  • 5 years’ experience
  • Travel 10-15%
