CastleGate Fulfillment has been launched recently in Europe and we’re looking for a talented, driven, and entrepreneurial Account Manager to support the up-scaling of our new business. 

About the Role

The Account Manager must have an interest in innovating to solve business problems creatively and a willingness to hit the ground running, will be develop new business by developing fulfillment customers and manage existing accounts to drive the continuous expansion of one or more categories within CastleGate.

  • Develop and implement account strategy to achieve revenue, operations, and profitability goals
  • Own the full commercial value chain of the European CastleGate program for one more categories; this includes business development (lead identification, proposal writing, negotiation & selling) and account management (driving sales performance, leading replenishment process)
  • Advance fulfillment customer expansion including identification of new products to add and the development of relationships with target suppliers
  • Build strong relationships with existing suppliers
  • Grow existing relationships through continuous analysis of performance and identifying new opportunities for expansion
  • Maintain industry expertise; keep abreast of trends and new product ideas
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams across many business functions to build new and improve existing processes; proactively identify and troubleshoot issues
  • Attend tradeshows to visit key suppliers and build new supplier relationships (4-8 times per year in cities such as Cologne, Birmingham, Paris, New York or Las Vegas)


  • Bachelor Degree, MBA or similar qualification from good school and with strong results 
  • 2-5 years of e-commerce, supply chain, logistics or management consulting experience
  • Quantitative skillset including business and data analytics, Excel, SQL; ability to operate with large data sets to identify trends and actionable takeaways
  • Track-record of delivering business results
  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects, and to delegate tasks appropriately
  • Innovative problem-solving skills – dissect problems, determine root causes and implement solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; strong negotiating skills
  • Fluency in both German and English is essential
