Director, Global Procurement - Marketing
This position is responsible for leading strategic sourcing in support of the Marketing organization. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.
This role will work closely with the Marketing teams to support key business initiatives. An understanding of and negotiation experience with the following categories are preferred; strategic and creative agency relationships, media, content creation, print production, direct mail, market research, social, demos, events, promotional items, talent and influencers.
Ability to find opportunities to optimize costs across the company as well as creating efficiencies in partnerships. Identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives while improving the quality of our supplier/agency base to optimize performance

Directs Marketing procurement by delivering best-in-price payment terms, quality levels, and delivery terms for purchased items and services; identifying new and alternate sources to support Marketing development and cost reductions; and designing and implementing projects and programs.
Oversees the successful strategic sourcing of Marketing material and services by developing a procurement strategy to support the business' needs; developing strategies to improve utilization of labor and storage facility capacity; engaging various cross functional partners in solution development; communicating with and gaining support from senior leadership for non-conventional requests or compliance-driven processes and plans.
Aligns, develops, and directs resources to achieve objectives and financial results by managing relationships with key strategic internal and external facilities and real estate partners; establishing and communicating team goals and objectives to internal and external business partners ; responding to escalated issues related to Marketing procurement; communicating objectives and results of financial performance to internal and external senior and executive management; and overseeing educational programs to train internal and external business partners.
Provides leadership to support to the Marketing team by performing ongoing financial, statistical, and cash flow analyses on commodities for facility development; evaluating financial impact of Marketing procurement initiatives on profit and loss; and researching industry best practices for supplier development and commodity strategies.
Collaborates, communicates, and influences corporate and divisional strategic initiatives by planning and developing Marketing procurement plans, developing multi-year supply chain strategies, participating in pilots and running simulations of various change scenarios; analyzing and validating results of pilots; aligning associates to achieve future visions; and leading portfolio teams through systems and organizational change.
Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field and 5 years' experience in purchasing, supply chain management, project management, or related area OR 7 years' experience in purchasing, supply chain management, project management, or related area.
2 years' supervisory experience.
Master's degree in Business Administration.
Certified Purchasing Manager or related purchasing manager certification.
