ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to oversee our entire PropertyCapsule product. This position comes with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. Working closely with PropertyCapsule leadership, you will lead a cross-functional team to drive customer success both within our PropertyCapsule product and by connecting it with our core VTS leasing software. You will be joining a skilled, fun, and growing team with experience at startups and big tech companies alike.

VTS distinguishes itself by fostering a strong sense of collaboration across the product management team and investing in every individual. This includes internal brown bags, guest speakers, workshops, and an educational budget. 
VTS has a clearly defined career path for every product manager on the team and is committed to their long-term professional development.

PURPOSE
This role exists to grow our PropertyCapsule product’s value to its existing and new customers, and to find ways to integrate PropertyCapsule into the larger VTS product offering. The PropertyCapsule team is distributed across locations and is going through a time of transition as it joins VTS post-acquisition, so this role must serve both as a centralized point of communication as well as a unifying force behind a strong vision for the product. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES
As the Senior Product Manager, you are ultimately accountable for growing the revenue of the PropertyCapsule product. You will be responsible for setting and achieving goals for the product, defining & delivering new solutions to customer problems, and becoming the resident expert on the market, our customers, and our product so you can coordinate with your cross-functional partners in Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Onboarding, and Support.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You will perform product research to understand the market, our customers, and the needs of the product in the form of onsite discovery with customers, customer interviews, observation and usability testing, prototyping, and more.
  • You will measure and synthesize the quantitative and qualitative feedback on your products, and share-out these findings
  • You will set goals and maintain a roadmap, working with the development team, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure we are hitting the right balance of new features, polish, bug fixes, and technical investment
  • You will run an Agile development process including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and team retrospectives
  • You will solve customer and business problems
  • You will define ambitious and empathetic goals with your team and then ship high quality product every day to hit them
  • You will work in an open, collaborative, and multidisciplinary environment. You will own the priority and scope of the work and leverage our amazing design and engineering talent to generate and iterate on these ideas
  • You will also work closely with our product leadership team to improve team culture, motivation, and processes

ABOUT YOU

  • You have 5+ years experience as a Product Manager in an SaaS or B2B startup
  • You are clear and concise in your written and verbal communication
  • You have a strong technical competence
  • You have a proven track record of delivering outcomes for customers
  • You are a truly empathetic listener: to your team, stakeholders and our customers
  • You love talking to customers and doing field research
  • You approach problems with curiosity and a collaborative spirit
  • You care deeply about best product practices and standards – just shipping isn’t enough for you
  • You can “manage up” in the form of achieving and maintaining stakeholder alignment
  • You feel ownership of your product and inspire that sense of ownership with your team

BONUS POINTS

  • You have experience within CRE or PropTech
  • You have experience with mapping, marketing, or sales-oriented products
