Director of Marketing

You are a change agent who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, creative environment. You have a strong vision for marketing strategy and for articulating and broadcasting a meaningful story arch.

We are looking for an innovative marketer to join our team and lead the charge on building our team, along with designing and implementing a consistent marketing strategy. This position will be responsible for developing and articulating our narrative and getting our brand in front of the world, accelerating brand awareness and growing our business.

The Day-to-Day

  • Own and develop VSCO’s marketing strategy and vision
  • Drive engagement with community through development of grassroots marketing initiatives with key influential tastemakers
  • Create and seek out new partnerships for co-marketing opportunities to further our global brand reach
  • Work cohesively with cross-functional teams to grow customer acquisition and retention through marketing and go-to-market launches (both online and IRL)
  • Develop media relations and build relationships with our PR agency
  • Foster a best-in-class marketing team through recruitment, career development and mentoring of staff
  • Develop and manage an annual department budget
  • Establish clear value propositions and positioning for key consumer products and ensure consistent messaging across all consumer touch points
  • Be the gatekeeper of the VSCO brand and ethos both internally and externally
  • Oversee creative development of marketing programs and provide creative guidance to our online and offline marketing efforts


  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of proven success in a mix of client and in-house experience overseeing Integrated Marketing Content – creative development, lateral thinking, and integration across all mediums and touch points for consumer-facing products and/or companies
  • Experience executing at high scale in collaborative team environment, leveraging internal and external (agency) support, as needed
  • Strong leadership skills with a knack for investing in team and driving results through collaboration and teamwork
  • Verbal and written communication skills with a passion for storytelling in a concise and creative way
  • Desire to reimagine the status quo and push boundaries - willingness to take educated risks and be a solution-seeker, a must
  • Ability to bridge marketing instincts with both qualitative and quantitative data insights to advocate for brand initiatives
  • Strong interest in pop culture, current content and knowledge of brand landscapes
